Globe Motors is an automobile dealership based in Lagos, Nigeria. The company deals exclusively in brand new passenger and commercial vehicles. Its stable of brands comprises Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Hyundai and Higer.
Our journey began in March 1984 when our Founder and Chairman, William Anumudu, registered the company with a mission to transform the undeserved Nigerian automobile industry. Over three decades later, Globe Motors has surpassed its initial aspirations and the company continues to set the pace in the evolution of the country’s automobile sector. We are proud partners of leading multinationals and several public sector institutions. Today, Globe Motors is the largest dealer in the Mercedes-Benz segment and a leading dealer in the Toyota segment. The company is also the sole distributor of Higer vehicles in Nigeria.
Globe Motors has the financial muscle required to meet local demand for new vehicles within its brand segments. The company trades with unencumbered capital in excess of Seven Billion Naira (NGN 7, 000, 000, 000) and has financing from Tier 1 Nigerian banks in excess of Fourteen Billion Naira (NGN 14, 000, 000, 000).

The Mercedes-Benz brand continues to set the benchmark globally in luxury vehicle segment. Globe Motors enjoys a sterling relationship with Daimler AG (manufacturers of Mercedes-Benz vehicles) and has been a catalyst for the growth of the brand in Nigeria. Our company is the largest importer of Mercedes-Benz cars in Nigeria, accounting for over 70% of the volume sourced directly from Daimler AG in 2013 and 2014. Globe Motors deals exclusively in Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles.
One of the world’s most trusted automobile manufacturers, Toyota is a dominant brand in the Nigerian market thanks to its absolute focus on quality and reliability. Globe Motors has been a key driver of the Nigerian Toyota market, with our company accounting for 50% of all Toyota vehicles imported into Nigeria as early as 1993. Globe Motors deals in both passenger and commercial Toyota vehicles.
The Hyundai brand has made significant inroads in the Nigerian market over the last few years. The brand is the newest addition to the Globe Motors stable, contributing vehicles in both the passenger and commercial vehicle segments.
Higer is a commercial vehicle manufacturer based in China. The company offers a wide range of buses, from 15-passenger coaches to mass transit 80-passenger buses such as those operated under Lagos State’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) scheme. Globe Motors is the sole distributor of Higer vehicles in Nigeria.
Globe Motors has a presence in Nigeria’s leading commercial centres: Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Showrooms
At present Globe Motors has three showrooms in Lagos: all three in Victoria Island. Our head office is located in Victoria Island and serves as our flagship showroom for our Mercedes-Benz range. The second and third Victoria Island location serves as our Toyota and Hyundai/Higer showrooms respectively. Globe Motors has a large warehouse in Lagos capable of accommodating 500 vehicles at a time and fully protected with adequate security.
Globe Motors has branches in two economic nerve centres of Nigeria outside Lagos: Abuja and Port-Harcourt. Located in Garki, Abuja’s primary commercial district, our Abuja showroom began operations in 1998. The showroom accommodates up to 80 vehicles and has a staff-strength of 15 employees. The Port-Harcourt showroom began operations in the same year. With a staff-strength of 15 employees, it serves as the hub for our operations in the South-East and South-South regions. The Port-Harcourt showroom is supplemented by an autoworkshop.
Globe Motors Auto Workshop
Globe Motors Autoworkshop is a specialist in automotive repair and maintenance services. Our first workshop was established in 1997 and since that time it has evolved into a very efficient After-sales centre providing After-sales and Maintenance Services to all customers for all our brands.
Our workshops are equipped with the most recent and sophisticated diagnostic equipment for the different brands, with over a total of 50 work Bays, a Body Section, Alignment and Balancing Sections, as well as highly-trained and experienced mechanical staff. The Mercedes-Benz section of Globe Motors Auto Workshop is equipped with state of the art diagnostic equipment, STAR diagnosis, and all other modern workshop tools and experienced workforce.
Our workshops are presently located in the Surulere and Victoria Island area of Lagos, as well as at the showrooms. A larger, better-equipped workshop is located in Lekki.
Globe Leasing
Globe Leasing offers premium fleet management services for corporate clients. All vehicle segments from our brand range – Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Hyundai and Higer – are available for lease for a minimum tenure of 24 months. The company primarily serves the Oil & Gas sector and as such its head office is located in Port Harcourt.
